Tennis Court Cleaning & Maintenance in Maine

Acrylic tennis court surfaces require very little maintenance. However, you definitely want to prevent leaves, pine needles, and other debris from sitting on the surface for long periods of time. Rain and the  normal slope of a properly built tennis court will help to keep dirt and minor debris flowing off of the surface.  That being said, occasional washing with moderate pressure and mild detergent will keep the court surface in great condition.  Tri-sodium phosphate, or TSP, is a mild detergent that doesn’t leave any residue on the court and makes a cost-effective cleaning solution.  Just mix 4 parts of water to 2 parts TSP, and add 1 part of household bleach into the solution to combat organisms like mold, moss, and fungus. Let the solution sit and work on the affected areas for 20 minutes or so, and then rinse off with clean water.  You may need to work the solution in with a soft to medium bristled broom in tough areas.

Many of our tennis court contractors pressure wash tennis and basketball courts.  Feel free to contact us if you would rather leave this to the professionals, as well.
